PROJECT UNITY 6 IN 1 Organized by SME BANK.

First of all, this is the first DPP event that I joined for this semester, and it just over on last Monday. I have been quite busy for my academic stuffs such as assignment, quizzes, midterm test and so on which could just drive me crazy for this semester, hectic life going to begin soon. Back to the project unity 6 in 1, it was a small event which organized by student residential hall SME BANK in my university. As one of the residents here, I volunteer to help out in the event as committee members together with my gang. Since I am not one of the top committee, my job is quite easy as in charge in the registration counter as AJK and helping them to find enough participants for this event.
Before the event day which falls on 10th march, we had a formal meeting before the day come. Every one of us is giving t-shirt and name card for the event, and also placed us in different task. Project Unity 6 in 1 consist of 6 games which is Chinese calligraphy, plum art, math and logic game, egg hunting, Sudoku and word search. We had successfully found nearly 2000 participants for this event. Every game got different rules and regulation which needed us to explain to the participant. Well, the job is quite easy for us because all the 6 games was just simple basic game for the participants.

I am in charge of the registration counter, it was tiring because participants keep asking me the same question and all I have to do is answer them in a polite way. I guess I performed quite well on the event day =) after the event ended, we had a group photo for the entire committee member. Overall, I was quite enjoyed throughout the event night and also enjoyed playing around with my friends.

YAB's 3C EVENT - CULTURAL, CHARITY AND CARING.

Well, yesterday was a memorable days with my beloved gang =) we attended YAB’s 3C event which was held in DMS, UUM. The event started from 7.30pm to 11.45pm I think. We departed by bus provided from YAB student residential hall as early as 6:30pm. As usual, the bus is crowded, I think this is one of the ‘culture’ in UUM, never ending fighting to enter the bus no matter at where, what time, which student residential hall. This is one of the most serious problems that the student representative council should really concern on.

Once I stepped in to the DMS, the first things that came into my mind are the hall decoration. I was quite impressed with the hall decoration even though it was quite simple, but I love it. Overall, the student’s performance was ok ok only because I almost fall asleep during some of the performance. One of the reasons why there are so many audience because most of them attended this event just because of the two well-known singers – ANDREW TAN AND GERALDINE GAN!!!!

I not really love them but yesterday night I was over-excited, keep snapping their photos and shouted like an idiot the whole night. The committee members of the event organizers were not really friendly as they keep pushing us backwards when we are trying to approach Andrew Tan. I understand that we were quite fierce in trying to get closer to him but why you can’t just warn us in a more polite and acceptable way? Besides, a few of girls falls onto the floor when they trying to catch the posters thrown by Andrew Tan, and no one else cared about the girls who has falls. Even kindergarten children also know how to help each other’s but as university students; no one else is willing to lend a hand to the girl.  Everyone was busy snapping photos of him all the time. I wonder where were the heart of sympathy has gone among them.
Below are few pictures along the event night =)

My Beloved Sponsorship Teammate =)

As I mentioned earlier, life in UUM was very boring if you never involve yourself in any other activities and so on. Therefore, I joined the MPP event Hand In Hand Under The Moonlight 2013 under the sponsorship bureau. Well, joining such huge event isn’t an easy job for me, the main objective of the sponsorship is to get enough sponsors no matter in money form or products form, and we have to reach certain target in order to make our event success. The very first time when I first joined sponsor team, I am all alone because all the other AJK’s are from different hometown, courses, ages and so on. But, throughout the outing we went together to get sponsors from the public, we are getting closer and closer. I can proudly say that even after the event has ended, we still maintain our friendship by spending time together and gathering outside the UUM compound.

As a part of sponsor team, our duty is to go out every Tuesday and Friday from morning until night just to get the supports from the public in northern region such as Penang, Alor Setar, Perlis and so on. Even though every outing is tiring, but we are happy and satisfied because we are getting closer to our target. Besides, I did grow up from every outing of the sponsor team. We have to ask people around us and shops to shops just to get some money support from them. Sometimes, we got rejected. Sometimes, we try to persuade them to support for more. Sometimes, we feel like giving up. But in the end, we try to encourage each other not to give up and try harder for the coming outings. We had successfully achieved our target and made our event even better. Other than that, I also get to know new friends besides from my bureau such as Bureau Admin, Bureau Arts and Multimedia, Bureau Protocol and so on. Because all of us had the same aim and same objective, that is to make our event better and better. I did learnt a lot from this event, the ways of communicates with others, tolerate with others, taking care of the juniors and so on.
Things like just happened yesterday, no doubt I did miss my teammate a lot. They teaches me a lot especially their positive thinking and their never give up’s attitude influenced me a lot. I hope each and every one of them can achieve their dreams and success in the future=)
Below are some of the pictures throughout the event=)

Penang Trip with friends =)

LIFE in UUM was quite bored when you never involve yourself in any events such as AIESEC, MPP, ENACTUS and so on. Well, sem 4's life seems to be quite boring and meaningless for me, therefore me and few of my friends planned to go to Penang just to rest our mind. Living in such a stressful condition in UUM, we are surrounded by assignments, quizzes, exams, presentation and so on everyday which makes our life more hectic compared to others. A short trip to Penang will just leave us with no worries even just for one or two days.

We departed on 4.30 pm last Thursday after all our class had ended.  Travelling from UUM to Penang Island just took us 2 hours and we safely reach the hotel by 6:30 pm. After 15 minutes of resting time, we headed to the famous Tom Yam stall in Raja Uda but unfortunately the food stall did not open. Guess we should do more survey before any trips next time. =( But we manage to find other famous food stalls which are quite crowded, and we had our dinner there. =) After our dinner, we planned to go for Autocity Juru. Autocity Juru was a place fulled with restaurants, shopping stalls, handmade stuffs and so on. We had a great time there and bought a lot of things=)

Second day of the trip, we went for our favorite dim sum which was located at Raja Uda also. After that, we went to Penang Island for the Penang Wall Art which was located in Georgetown and also Chew Jetty, one of the famous travel hotspot in Penang =) We had a great time there and really enjoyed taking photos with all the wall street art. Before ended our memorable trip, we headed to Straits Quay also. We love Snoopy so much therefore we went to the one and only Charlie Brown's Cafe in Straits Quay. We really enjoyed throughout the trips and this trip also tightens our friendship among each other’s.

Before ended my post, here are some pictures throughout the trips=)

Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic is leaving his mark with beautiful wall painting of children all across historical Georgetown. The artworks are funny, fascinating, and very much open to everyone’s interpretations.

No matter how bad your life may seem in the moment, it will always get better=)
